Is Apple's EcoSystem A Trap? - Apple's EcoSystem Explained

Apple have intentionally or unintentionally created this EcoSystem of different kinds of tech products. Not sure what I'm talking about? Let me walkthrough. Everything Apple makes is made with intention that it blends with other products seamlessly, a person using an iPhone most probably uses iMessage and Facetime, which will work the same on his Mac or iPad, Or maybe he wants to transfer a photo or video from his iPad to Mac or vice versa, he can do it simply use AirDrop which works without giving you a headache. These devices working together create an ecosystem in which user can work freely between devices. If you want to know more about Apple's EcoSystem, watch this amazing video by Marques Brownlee: click here.
This EcoSystem however is a controversial topic in itself, some people think that it is a good that Apple is doing this and some people think that Apple is tricking them. We'll try to cover both mindsets in this blogpost.

People who think EcoSystem is a good thing:

They are mostly Apple users, they think that it is a good thing for Apple to create such an ecosystem. The reason behind being that it makes every device more useful for them. If a product can serve additional purpose, it increases the value of that particular product.
For example, when Apple released it's first Apple Watch in 2015, it immediately became a success in market, the reason being it's seamless synchronisation with the iPhone. Out of the box, it was designed to function with the iPhone.
It's actually the reason behind the success of Apple's most products. They design the hardware and software from scratch aiming for it to work with other products out of the box.
When products from the same company work that well together, people do tend to buy more products, which in fact improves the functionality of their personal devices.

People who think EcoSystem is a bad thing:

On the other hand, people who think of EcoSystem as a bad thing are mostly Android Users or Apple Users who think their Apple product(s) are not functioning the way they should. According to my observation, the main reason behind their hatred towards Apple's EcoSystem is that they believe Apple is simply trying to trick them into buying more products to make more money.
For example, when a person buys an iPhone from Apple he is served with a free 5gb cloud storage on iCloud. As time passes the 5gb falls short and user now needs more storage and it has to be iCloud because it works the best on an iPhone. This situation can be seen as a monopoly played by Apple.
And Apple does make a lot of fortune using this strategy and is one of the main reasons behind Apple's success.

Conclusion

In the end, Apple is most probably using this strategy(which is working in their favour) for increasing their sales. But here's the thing, by doing this Apple is providing it's customers something that no other tech company has been able to and that is "If you're already an Apple User, buying more Apple devices will add more value to your existing devices.".
