Huawei, a Chinese telecommunication multinational company, has officially surpassed Apple by becoming the world’s number two smartphone manufacturer, just behind Samsung. It is not an easy feat to achieve this position, as it is the first time in seven years that a rival managed to split the top two mobile manufacturers in the world. The company’s senior management believes that by 2021, it could be number one.

So, how did Huawei surpassed Apple, and became the smartphone titan?

WHERE DID IT ALL BEGUN?

Let's start with the beginning, Huawei's root is quite modest. Alike many modern success stories, his founder, Ren, established Huawei at the lowest point of his life. He was expelled from the People’s Liberation Army for which he worked as an engineer, and right after being defrauded of 2 million CNY by a customer while also recovering from a divorce at the age of 41. As you can imagine, nothing remotely positive was taking place in his life. Ren found the determination to start a company with a few of his colleagues, named Huawei. Huawei did not begin manufacturing telecommunication devices. Its only purpose back then was to make money from anything that could be sold. Later, Huawei became the rural sales agent for Hong Kong-based phone and cable network businesses.Later developed R&D and spread it internationally. Got contract with vodafone. developed their first phone in 2009. Everything after that was a high hit graph of satisfied customers and sales.Huawei is known for its branding now.

Reasons why Huawei remain in Top 2:

  1. In China, Huawei sold three times more smartphones than Apple in 2018.
  2. Huawei’s success began to spread inside China, then abroad, notably in Europe.
  3. The brand’s top-end phone sell for the same premium price as Apple and Samsung, but its lower-tier model are priced at a significant discount to comparable brands.
  4.  Huawei P20, also known as the Triple Camera Smartphone for its three lenses, for the best camera phone, right behind the Samsung Galaxy S9.
  5.  Huawei set up the world’s first 5G phone network in the Isle of Man.
  6. Huawei stands apart from most Android manufacturers as it relies on its own processors
  7. Huawei is coming out with new products while Apple is just making updates to its existing iPhone.
  8. Other Android smartphone makers are hoping to convert 5G and foldable display phones into more sales this year. Huawei is said to be making their own foldable display phone in China.
  9. Premium features like punch hole cameras, fingerprint sensor, and some artificial intelligence capacity could stimulate growth for other players as well, including Huawei rivals.
  10. Sales of smartphones rose 50% last quarter compared to a year ago, while Apple sales fell 20% globally. Samsung fell 8%. LG phones did even worse, down 40%.

iPad Pro 2020 - COVID-19 - Silent Release by Apple

At the time of writing this post, the world is going through a time of disaster. Some might say that the Earth is taking a break from the stress we have given it. Yes, I am talking about the spread of the novel virus COVID-19 or commonly known as "Corona Virus". During these time Apple took some steps to help stop this viral disease to spread even further. They temporarily closed their stores and instead are now offering free and fast shipping. And they improved their online customer support (even more).                 They also released two new products (and some accessories to go with them). In this post we are only going talk about the iPad Pro. The new MacBook Air deserves a separate post (which will hopefully be published after this post) iPad Pro - 2020 One of the major products released was the new iPad Pro. Is Apple's EcoSystem A Trap? - Apple's EcoSystem Explained

Image Credit: Apple Apple have intentionally or unintentionally created this EcoSystem of different kinds of tech products. Not sure what I'm talking about? Let me walkthrough. Everything Apple makes is made with intention that it blends with other products seamlessly, a person using an iPhone most probably uses iMessage and Facetime, which will work the same on his Mac or iPad, Or maybe he wants to transfer a photo or video from his iPad to Mac or vice versa, he can do it simply use AirDrop which works without giving you a headache. These devices working together create an ecosystem in which user can work freely between devices. If you want to know more about Apple's EcoSystem, watch this amazing video by Marques Brownlee:  click here.     This EcoSystem however is a controversial topic in itself, some people think that it is a good that Apple is doing this and some people think that Apple is tricking them. We'll try to cover both mindsets in this blogpost. Imag...
